Accompanied by AGL report numbered 1080564, dated 14 December 2016, stating that the 30.97 carat emerald is natural, Green colour, of Classic™ Colombian origin, with indications of oil-type minor clarity enhancement; with comments, stating that 'Emeralds are commonly clarity enhanced to reduce the visibility of fissures. Oil is a tranditional type of filling material used to reduce the visibility of fissures'; along with an appendix letter, stating that 'The combination of origin and quality elements for the emerald described...signifies a gem worthy of distinction. This 30.97 ct emerald has received the highest origin determination issued by AGL: Classic™ Colombia. This outstanding emerald also possesses a high clarity, providing a superior degree of transparency. Furthermore, this notable gem exhibits a very fine, richly saturated green color that is representative of top-quality emeralds from this auspicious source and a fine cut which complements the overall visual appeal of this remarkable gemstone. SSEF report and premium book numbered 89813, dated 23 January 2017, stating that the 30.977 carat emerald is natural, Green colour of medium strong saturation, of Colombian origin, with indications of clarity modification and minor amount of oil fissures; along with an appendix letter, stating that 'The natural emerald described...possesses extraordinary characteristics and merits special mention and appreciation. The described gemstone exhibits an important size and weight of 30.977 ct. It is characterised by an attractive green colour and a fine purity, a combination rarely encountered in Colombian emeralds of this size... There is a long-established tradition in the trade to fill small fissures in emeralds with colourless oil to enhance their clarity. An emerald of this size containing only a minor amount of oil in fissures at the time of testing can be considered rare. A natural emerald from Colombia of this size and quality can be considered rare and exceptional.'
