BUCCELLATI The Buccellati brand dates back to 1919 when Mario Buccellati opened his first jewellery boutique in Milan. Having acquired years of experience working for renowned jeweller Beltrami & Besnati, the brand became reputable for its quality pieces. Gianmaria Buccellati, the second generation of the brand, followed in his father’s footsteps in becoming a master goldsmith himself and successfully established his own brand of jewellery in 1971 after his father’s death. He inherited his father’s distinctive style of using texture-engraving, a technique that transforms gold and silver into wonderful creations with a tactile feel similar to tulle and damask. The brand expanded worldwide, earning several awards for his work as a goldsmith and entrepreneur. In 2011, Gianmaria and his brothers united under the Buccellati brand after merging their companies to further expand business prospects. To this day the company remains a family-run business which continues to create innovative, one-of-a-kind creations.
