Each centring on a translucent oval jadeite cabochon of emerald green colour, to a jadeite ruyi of orange red colour, embellished with brilliant-cut yellow diamonds and diamonds, anchored by a pear-shaped cabochon ruby, surmounted by a pear-shaped jadeite cabochon of yellowish orange colour, highlighted to the reverse by circular-cut rubies, the rubies and diamonds altogether weighing approximately 2.20 and 1.80 carats respectively, mounted in 18 karat yellow and blackened gold, signed. Cabochons measuring approximately 12.09 x 7.12 x 3.95 and 11.73 x 7.01 x 3.41mm; ruyis approximately 15.82 x 9.70 x 1.17 and 12.84 x 10.12 x 1.76mm; pear-shaped cabochons approximately 9.89 x 6.70 x 3.69 and 9.53 x 6.91 x 2.90mm respectively. This lot contains jadeite or rubies originating in Burma (also known as Myanmar) and also articles of jewellery containing such gemstones may not be imported into the U.S. With respect to items containing any other types of gemstones originating in Burma (e.g. sapphires), such items may be imported into the U.S. provided that the gemstones were mounted or incorporated into articles of jewellery outside of Burma as long as the setting is not of a temporary nature. Loose gemstones of any type originating in Burma may not be imported into the U.S. In this regard, purchaser’s inability to import any item into the U.S. or any other country as a result of these or other restrictions shall not justify a cancellation of the sale or any delay in payment.
