A typical composition with the ocean separating the foreground and the background - barren rocks in the foreground were depicted by dark ink. The waves, swirls, and splashes were drawn with care. The open space of the ocean in the middle ground, depicted by dexterous use of ink and the= meticulous brushwork of the body of water, leads beholders to the caves in the background. The varied details of the brushwork, the play of light and shadow on the water make this a significant work by the artist, marking his own path of creativity and passion in his artistic career.
